The games I already have available have their own pages, linked above. Click through to each of their pages for the details.
I always come back to board games …
There is something special about playing a board game or a card game … something very natural and visceral in handling the components and interacting face-to-face with the other players. No matter how much time I spend on computers — programming games or just taking care of work — I still come back to designing board games.
Other Ideas on the Horizon
Here are some of the other board & card game ideas that I am working on … maybe some of these will develop far enough along to deserve their own page on the site.

3-on-3 Basketball Game … I am working on a card-driven 3-on-3 basketball game. At this point, the game is coming along very nicely, and I expect to be able to finish it off pretty quickly … but I’m not sure what to call it. I’m toying with a few different names. Hopefully, one of them will stick soon.
ManaStorm … In a world where magic literally oozes from the soil, the Sorcerors of the land battle to control the places with the most magical potential. This game has gone through quite a bit of change over the past couple of years, and I think I’m getting close. At this point, the “board” is built from terrain cards that the Sorcerors, magical Creatures, and stacks of Mana move around on. Still needs a good deal of playtesting.
Show of Power … This is the biggest, most complex design I have going right now. It originally started under the name “Uncivil”, but I changed that once I moved away from the generic small-country-civil-war theme. It has a lot of layers to it, and everything centers around the cards and the balance between the triple concepts of “the people”, the military, and political agents. I got invaluable feedback from playtesting this one at the 2009 Protospiel and hope to have a new-and-improved version ready for the 2010 get-together.
Belicose Islands … (no graphic for this one yet) … A mix of lightweight wargamey dice-rolling goodness and a primary goal that isn’t about destroying your neighbors. Not sure if this one is going to work yet, but I will reveal more once I’ve given it some solotests.
Fist Full of Football … A cards-based football coaching strategy game. I’ve already been through a full prototype that just didn’t quite capture what I was after. So, it’s back-to-the-drawing-board time … and I’m thinking I’ll steal some of the things that are working in the 3-on-3 basketball game.
Dicey Curves … A cool title for a dice-based car racing game, I think. But my first try at the actual game itself left me a bit bored. So, now I have this one on the back-burner, allowing the idea to cook a bit more.
Feedback Appreciated
If any of these ideas strikes your fancy or makes you curious, please feel free to leave a comment or send me an e-mail. I’m alway looking for feedback, and try to shape what I’m doing based on how I think people are going to enjoy playing it.
